Extreme Primitive Doll Giveaway

Hello and Good Morning.

It's a LOVELY, cool day here in Kansas. Yes, it IS May 28...but we're hanging on to some winter weather here. I think the HIGH is supposed to be 67 degrees! Amazing!

I just wanted to share with everyone, I'm still having the giveaway of Faith, the Extreme Prim Dollie in the photo above. She is a Breast Cancer Awareness Doll. I am a 14 year Breast Cancer Survivor and it's just important to spread awareness about this disease. Breast Cancer is in every newspaper, tv news broadcast, talk show, sitcom, and magazine, and it's a fact that 1 in every 3 women will develop Breast Cancer in their lifetime... but it seems like every woman doubts that it could happen to them.

Just leave a comment on my blog and you're entered for the giveaway. Here's the link:

I have more photos of Faith on my blog and I'd love to see more entries. The Giveaway will end on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Midnight Central Standard Time. On Friday, the 30th I'll have my granddaughter draw a name out of a bowl & pick the winner.

***Please Note***
I can't afford the shipping for international entries, so please don't enter if you're not living in the Continental USA. No offense, I'm just poor...LOL.

Today I think I'd like to leave you with this scripture:

Proverbs 3:5 & 6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.

Take God's Word to heart today. Let Him speak to you, inside, through that 'still small voice'. May His Word, and His Love guide you and comfort you today.

Blessings,
Penny

Introducing Myself

I am so happy to have been invited to join with all the lovely ladies at Glad Tidings! My name is Kay and I'm the soap lady from The Rustic Cottage. Cora and I became acquainted through the blogging community and I felt so privileged when she invited me to join the group.

I live in a small town in SW Washington State - truly God's country with all the lush green landscape. I am single, have two daughters, Missy is almost 38 and Stephany is 14. I also have two grandsons who are the loves of my life.

I was recently laid off my job as an office manager for a truck repair shop so now I'm a full-time soapmaker and business woman. It is a little scary being the sole support of your family and not having a full-time job. But we are depending on God every day and He is blessings in so many ways! He truly is providing. This has been a very humbling experience for me as I am a very independent person. I've had to ask for help in many ways I've never had to before.

I've been a seamstress all my life and about 3 years ago starting making soap. I've always got a project of some sort in the works.

Thank you for letting me share a little about myself with you. Please come back and visit Glad Tidings often. And visit the shops of the wonderful talented ladies in this group. I know you'll be able to find a treasure or two for yourself.

It's Another Great Giveaway!

Photobucket

Welcome to our Glad Tidings Group Giveaway!!!!! We’re so glad you found us, as now you have a chance to win a whole grouping of items that the ladies from our Ebay group have donated with YOU in mind!

All of these gals were generous in their giving, and there is plenty here for you to make an apron or two, or something along these lines. The one primitive fabric shown here was actually hand stamped -- can you believe that????? --- and has been heat set, so it is washable. Other items include coordinating fabric with floss to match, hand crocheted trim, buttons, pins, thread, vintage apron pattern, sewing notions, vintage linens, and a handmade hussif (needle case).

I’m sure this will be a great prize for anyone who loves to sew, or for a beginner just starting out!
