We all need a Tree!

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start.

While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands.

When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His face was wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss.

Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.

'Oh, that's my trouble tree,' he replied 'I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing's for sure; those troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them. Then in the morning I pick them up again.' 'Funny thing is,' he smiled,' when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before'

Thanks Brenda

Thank you, Lord!

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. -- I John 4:10

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Thanks June.

~ Sweet Prim Sisters ~

I am so lucky to be a small part of these sisters shared sites! I am enchanted by their work and thoughtfullness to share love and devotion to their crafts with us as well as sharing their fabulous creations.

As busy as their lives are, making these primative creations are always at the top of their daily list. When I visit with them, they never fail to inspire me with their imaginations, devotions to God, and spirit of love.

I thank all of them for sharing a small part of their lives with me.

I Think I Have a Problem................

Hey ya'll. I've been told by family members that I've got a problem. I think I might have become addicted to making Rag Balls :) It's so therapeutic just sitting there rolling these things. And to make matters worse, everywhere I look, I can visualize people's shirts, dresses, sweaters and pj's for rag ball material!!!!!!!! Isn't that sick???? These things have actually been selling very well for me in my Ebay store. I've been scenting them with different prim scents like Mulling Spice, Cinnamon Bread and Apple Spice. Feedback has been good. The trouble is, I love 'em so much I kinda hate to list 'em.....I want to keep 'em for myself!! Selfish, huh? So anyway, I was just wondering if any of ya'll have had the same problem? And if there's any cure? Let me know if any of ya'll have addictions to your crafts. Is this a bad thing?

On a more serious note....hope all you ladies are doing good. We've had a bout of the flu go through the whole family....grandkids and all. Seems like we're "on the mend" now tho. Had bad storms go through here a couple of nights ago. No serious damage done, Praise God, just a lot of clean up.

Gotta go...........my rag balls are callin' my name :)
